1. Services Provided
The Emerald Soul, LLC offers life coaching, Reiki energy healing, and related personal development services. These services are intended to support personal growth, self-awareness, reflection, and overall well-being.

 

Services may include intuitive guidance, coaching conversations, Reiki energy healing, and other practices described on our website or during the booking process.

2. Not Medical, Psychological, or Other Professional Care

The services provided by The Emerald Soul are not medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, legal, financial, or other licensed professional services.

​

We do not diagnose, treat, or cure medical or psychological conditions, prescribe medication, or provide psychotherapy or medical treatment. Reiki and life coaching are not substitutes for appropriate care from a licensed healthcare professional.

​

If you are experiencing a medical or psychological emergency, please contact an appropriate emergency or healthcare provider. If you are receiving care from a physician, therapist, psychiatrist, or other licensed professional, you should continue that care as appropriate.

​

You are responsible for determining whether our services are appropriate for you and for seeking professional care when needed.

 

3. Client Responsibility

You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, and well-being before, during, and after sessions.

 

Any insights, reflections, intuitive guidance, or coaching suggestions offered during a session are intended to support your own process and are not instructions or guarantees. You remain solely responsible for how you interpret and act upon anything discussed during a session.

 

The Emerald Soul does not guarantee any particular personal, emotional, relational, professional, financial, physical, or spiritual outcome from its services.

4. Eligibility

Services are available only to individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By booking or participating in a session, you represent that you are at least 18 years old.

 

5. Payments and Cancellations
All sessions must be paid in advance at the time of booking.

 

Cancellations and Rescheduling

Whenever possible, cancellations and rescheduling requests should be completed through the online booking system associated with your appointment. The online booking system is the preferred method for managing your appointment.

If you are unable to use the online booking system, you may contact The Emerald Soul at hello@theemeraldsoul.com or (650) 440-5509.

​

Sessions may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours' notice. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment time are not eligible for a refund. Missed appointments are also not eligible for a refund.

​

If you are unable to attend your appointment due to an unexpected circumstance, you are welcome to contact us. Exceptions may be considered at The Emerald Soul's discretion based on the circumstances.

​

Late Arrivals

If you arrive late to a session, the session will generally still end at the originally scheduled time in order to honor the commitments of other clients.

​

If you have not joined the session or contacted The Emerald Soul within 15 minutes of the scheduled start time, the appointment may be considered forfeited and will not be eligible for a refund.

 

6. Refunds

Payments for completed sessions are non-refundable.

​

If you cancel or reschedule at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment, you may be eligible for a refund or appointment credit, as applicable to the booking terms presented at the time of purchase.

​

If The Emerald Soul must cancel or reschedule a session, we will offer you the option to reschedule or receive a full refund of the session fee.

​

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.

 

7. Confidentiality

The Emerald Soul treats information shared during sessions as confidential and does not intentionally disclose client information to third parties except with your authorization or as permitted or required by law.

​

Confidentiality may not apply where disclosure is required by law, necessary to address an emergency or safety concern, or otherwise permitted by applicable law.

​

Our Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, storage, and handling of personal information submitted through our website and in connection with our services.

 

8. Session Format

Sessions are conducted virtually through Zoom unless otherwise arranged. You are responsible for having a suitable device, internet connection, and reasonably private environment in which to participate.

​

The Emerald Soul is not responsible for interruptions, delays, technical difficulties, or inability to access a session caused by internet service, Zoom, telecommunications providers, devices, software, power outages, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

​

If a technical problem prevents the session from taking place, we will make reasonable efforts to reschedule the session.

​

9. Appropriate Participation and Right to End a Session

Clients are expected to participate respectfully and appropriately. 

​

The Emerald Soul reserves the right to end or decline a session if a client engages in threatening, abusive, harassing, discriminatory, sexually inappropriate, or otherwise unsafe or disruptive behavior. 

​

If a session is ended because of such conduct, the session may not be eligible for a refund.

​

10. No Guarantee of Results

Life coaching and Reiki are individualized experiences, and results vary from person to person.

 

The Emerald Soul makes no representations or guarantees regarding specific results, outcomes, changes, improvements, or benefits that may result from participating in its services.

 

11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, The Emerald Soul, LLC shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from or related to your use of our services.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Emerald Soul's total liability arising from a claim relating to a particular session shall not exceed the amount actually paid for that session.

​

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under California law.

 

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Emerald Soul, LLC from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and reasonable expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees and costs) arising out of your unlawful conduct, intentional misconduct, material violation of these Terms, or actions that give rise to a third-party claim in connection with your use of our services. This obligation shall survive the termination or expiration of these Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.

 

13. Intellectual Property
All original content provided by The Emerald Soul, including website text, written materials, worksheets, exercises, graphics, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to The Emerald Soul, LLC unless otherwise stated.

You may use materials provided to you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, sell, or commercially exploit our materials without prior written permission.

​

14. Dispute Resolution

The Emerald Soul values respectful communication and hopes that any concerns can be resolved directly and in good faith.

​

If a disagreement, concern, or dispute arises between you and The Emerald Soul relating to these Terms or the services provided, the parties agree to first make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter directly before pursuing formal legal action.

​

A party seeking to resolve a dispute should provide written notice describing the nature of the dispute and the resolution being sought. The parties will then make reasonable efforts to communicate and reach a mutually acceptable resolution.

​

Mediation

If the dispute cannot be resolved through good-faith communication, the parties agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the matter through mediation before initiating a court proceeding.

​

The parties will mutually agree upon a mediator and the location or format of the mediation. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, mediation may be conducted remotely.

​

The parties will share the mediator's fees and costs equally, unless otherwise agreed.

​

Mediation communications and materials will be treated as confidential to the extent provided by applicable California law.

​

Court Proceedings

If the dispute cannot be resolved through good-faith communication or mediation, either party may pursue the matter in a court of competent jurisdiction.

​

Nothing in this section prevents either party from seeking temporary or emergency relief when necessary to protect a legal right or prevent immediate harm.

​

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

​

Any court proceeding arising from these Terms or the services provided by The Emerald Soul shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction as permitted by applicable California law.

 

16. Changes to These Terms

The Emerald Soul, LLC may update these Terms from time to time. Any updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date. Changes will apply prospectively to services booked after the updated Terms become effective, unless otherwise required by law.

17. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the fullest extent permitted by law, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

​

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with any applicable booking terms, consent or acknowledgment forms, Privacy Policy, and other agreements expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and The Emerald Soul regarding the services provided.

​

If there is a conflict between these Terms and a specific written agreement signed by both parties, the signed agreement will control to the extent of the conflict.
