"Working with Jackie was such a gift. She holds a calm, steady presence that made my first virtual Reiki experience feel safe and surprisingly powerful. I felt a noticeable shift into deep rest during our session, and I’m still feeling grounded and clear days later."

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a gentle, restorative healing practice that works with the body's subtle energy system to support balance, well-being, and aliveness.
The word Reiki comes from two Japanese words:
Rei, which can be translated as universal, sacred, spirit, mystery, or divine wisdom.
Ki, which refers to life force energy—the same energy known as Qi in Chinese traditions and Prana in Sanskrit traditions.
At its essence, Reiki is a practice of opening to the universal life force energy that animates all living things. Many people experience Reiki as a profound sense of peace, unconditional love, relaxation, and connection.
Rather than forcing past our edges, Reiki supports the body's natural ability to heal and move toward wholeness.
It works with the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of your experience simultaneously, helping you integrate what has been held and create space for something new to emerge.
Because Reiki works with the whole person, each experience is unique. The energy naturally adjusts to what your system is ready to receive.
You've tried to muscle your way through it...
But some things cannot be solved with more effort.
You feel exhausted. Like you've spent so much of your life holding everything together that carrying it all has simply become part of your normal experience.
You've tried to understand it. You've done the work. And yet something still feels stuck.
Here is the thing—you don't need to do more. You just need space. Time to soften, breathe, and reconnect with the parts of yourself that got lost beneath the noise of daily life.
Reiki offers exactly that. It is an invitation to step out of the mind and into the body and reconnect with your spirit. To stop striving, fixing, and figuring everything out for a moment—and practice receiving instead.

Who is Reiki for?
These sessions are for people who:
-
feel overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, or emotionally exhausted
-
spend most of their time in their head and struggle to be present
-
feel disconnected from their body, intuition, or inner world
-
are moving through a life transition or period of uncertainty
-
want support resting, resetting, and calming the nervous system
-
are seeking greater peace, balance, and self-acceptance
-
are longing to feel more grounded, open, and connected to themselves
Many people come to Reiki after trying everything else.
They are often looking for relief from something they have been carrying for a long time.
What they frequently discover is that beneath the desire to feel better is an invitation into something deeper—a new way of relating to themselves, their lives, and the challenges they face.
Reiki offers a pathway to meet that invitation with presence and a willingness to receive.
More than healing: A process of transformation
One of the most common misunderstandings about Reiki is that it is something that is "done" to you.
Reiki is not about fixing something broken or adding something that wasn't already there.
It is a process of transformation.
Energy cannot be created or destroyed—rather, what already exists begins to reorganize as the system no longer has to hold itself in the same way.
That process creates greater flow where there has been stagnation.
It expands the body into softness where there has been contraction and creates more harmony where there has been imbalance.
Reiki gently supports your unfolding process.

"I had a virtual Reiki session with Jackie during a time when I really needed the energetic support! She was so nice and understanding and she did a wonderful job at making me feel at ease. The space she provided me with was a wonderful healing space! She was informative with how the session would go and what to potentially expect. During the session, I had a profound experience with my Spirit Guides, who also helped her hold a comforting space for me. I greatly appreciated my session with Jackie and would recommend her to anyone needing some accepting, forgiving, and loving space!"

The history and philosophy of Reiki
The practice of using the hands to support healing has existed across cultures for thousands of years.
It is instinctive; just like when our child falls, we scoop them up and place our hands over the injury. Or when our head is pounding and we naturally massage our temples, as if our hands are drawn toward the pain.
Reiki takes this innate human tendency and offers a structured system through which it can be cultivated, deepened, and taught.
The modern Reiki lineage traces back to Mikao Usui, a Japanese spiritual teacher who devoted his life to the study of healing, spirituality, meditation, and personal transformation. After years of study and spiritual practice, Dr. Usui experienced a profound awakening during a retreat on Mount Kurama in Japan. From this experience emerged the Reiki system that is practiced throughout the world today.
Since then, Reiki has been passed from teacher to student through a living lineage that continues to this day.
While Reiki has roots in Japanese spiritual traditions, its essence is universal. It is not tied to any specific religion, belief system, or worldview.
At its heart, Reiki is a practice of cultivating presence, balance, compassion, and connection with life itself.
What happens during a Reiki session?
All sessions are held online through Zoom.
Before your session, I spend time preparing the space and setting intentions for your highest good.
When we meet, we will begin with a brief conversation to discuss your intentions, answer questions, and help you feel comfortable with the process.
From there, you'll be invited to lie down or recline in a comfortable position where you can fully relax and receive.
I will guide you through a short meditation to help you settle into the present moment.
As the Reiki session begins, I work intuitively with your energy field, offering support where it is needed most.
Depending on what arises, this may include:
-
rebalancing the chakra system
-
clearing and revitalizing the aura
-
restoring energetic flow throughout the body
-
releasing energetic cords and attachments
-
calling scattered energy back into wholeness
-
harmonizing feminine and masculine energies
Most of the session is spent in quiet rest while gentle music plays in the background.
The session concludes quietly, allowing you to remain in that relaxed, integrated state rather than immediately returning to mental activity.
This helps honor the deeper level of awareness and connection that often emerges during Reiki.
What does Reiki feel like?

Every experience is different.
Some people feel warmth, tingling, waves of energy, emotional release, or deep relaxation.
Others simply feel peaceful, rested, and more present. Some people receive insights or fall asleep.
Many people leave feeling lighter, clearer, calmer, and more connected to themselves.
There is no right way to experience Reiki. The process unfolds according to what your system is ready for.
What Reiki is not
Reiki is not a substitute for medical care, therapy, or healthy lifestyle choices.
It is not a magic solution.
It is not about bypassing your humanity or avoiding life's challenges.
And it is not about fixing something that is fundamentally wrong with you.
You are not broken.
Reiki simply supports your natural capacity to heal, restore balance, and reconnect with what is already whole within you.

"I had a reiki/cord cutting session with Jacquelyn and I immediately could feel a weight lifted. My knowledge was very limited, but she assured me that nothing will happen that I’m not ready for. The entire process was calming and I truly felt a weight lifted from me. I’ve struggled with a tumultuous coparenting situation. After my session I felt I was more consistent and sure in my healing from that person. It’s a work in progress, but I feel a sense of self has been given back to me."

A space to rest, receive, and remember who you are
In a world that constantly asks you to do more, achieve more, and carry more, Reiki offers something radically different.
An opportunity to pause and listen.
A chance to reconnect with yourself without resistance.
Sometimes healing begins with putting in less effort—not by becoming stronger, but by learning to soften.
If you're feeling called to experience Reiki for yourself, I would be honored to hold that space for you.
